Eldon Hancock is a Senior Associate with Consulting Resource Associates. His principal focus with the firm is advising clients on alternate courses of action for communication with members of the Michigan State legislature and representatives of the various departments of Michigan State government. He also facilitates similar communications with members of the Federal Congress, principally among Michigan delegation members of the Senate and House. When needed, Mr. Hancock introduces clients to registered lobbyists who then represent those clients in communicating their wishes and desires concerning specific legislative proposals. In his work, Mr. Hancock addresses the needs of businesses, state officials, health care providers and not-for-profit organizations. Until recently, Mr. Hancock served for four years as the chief of staff for a State of Michigan Senator and the Michigan Senate Investment and Bond Oversight Committee. Before that, for 23 years he was with the State of Michigan Treasury Department where he held several key positions including that of Executive Director of the Michigan State Hospital Finance Authority. Earlier, he was a commercial banker with a major Detroit bank, where he worked in corporate trust securities, the bond department, and in mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hancock served in the United States Army. He earned an Associate of Arts degree from Northwestern Community College and a B.S. degree from Wayne State University. He also has taken graduate courses at The University of Michigan, the University of San Francisco, and the American Institute of Banking.
