John R. Edman is a CRA Senior Associate. He has in-depth experience helping colleges and universities plan and execute major capital fund raising campaigns. Also, in his CRA work, he has advised clients on capital planning strategies and tactics. Equally important to CRA, he has over the years served as a close advisor to CRA's president, Ken Myers. Prior to his association with CRA, Mr. Edman was chairman of General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC). And before that, he was vice president and treasurer of General Motors Corporation. In addition to his professional work in financial analysis and mergers and acquisitions, Mr. Edman is widely recognized for his community service work helping plan and run capital fund drives for civic and religious organizations. Mr. Edman has both an undergraduate degree and an MBA from The University of Michigan.
