Sanford Stone is a CRA Senior Associate. Mr. Stone has more than 30 years experience in information technology. He spent more than 12 years in the design and development of large scale state welfare systems and 10 years working with public utility companies addressing organizational effectiveness, systems architecture and technical systems design. In addition, he has provided direction and support for the implementation of marketing and energy conservation programs for companies in the U.S. and Canada. In 1993, Mr. Stone founded TouchStone Systems, a company that developed and offers state of the art information systems to the utility industry to address growing needs in marketing and conservation program administration. He is the architect and developer of TouchStone MSP (Marketing Support Program). Prior to founding TouchStone Systems, Mr. Stone was with Deloitte and Touche Management Consulting where he established a national Demand Side Management practice (energy conservation) for the utility industry. Mr. Stone studied mathematics and philosophy at Wayne State University. He founded the Pittsburgh chapter of the International Computer Assisted Engineering Users Group and later served on the national board as executive vice president. He also has served as a director of the Carnegie Mellon University GSIA Graduate School MBA program.
