Shlomo Sawilowsky, Ph.D., is a Senior Associate with Consulting Resource Associates. His area of concentration for CRA is as an expert in statistical analyses in our employment law litigation support practice. He has testified in three cases and has prepared statistical analyses for about a dozen other lawsuits in Michigan.

Dr. Sawilowsky is Professor of Evaluation and Research and Program Chair at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. According to the Mathematics Genealogy website, he ranks as the sixth most prolific doctoral dissertation advisor among over 120,000 mathematicians and statisticians since the year 1630.

Professor Sawilowsky is the editor of the Journal of Applied Statistical Methods, the author of two books on statistical methods (Statistics via Monte Carlo Simulation with Fortran, and Real Data Analysis), and has published over one hundred peer-reviewed book chapters, articles, and encyclopedia entries on social and behavioral science statistical methods, psychometrics and testing, quantitative program evaluation, and research and experimental design. He has obtained over $5 million as Principal Investigator or Program Evaluation Specialist in federally funded educational research grants.

Dr. Sawilowsky is the 2008 President of the American Educational Research Association SIG/Educational Statisticians and is a member of eight professional societies. He has received numerous honors and awards for his scholarly accomplishments and university teaching.

From 1983 to 1987, Dr. Sawilowsky served on the faculty at the University of South Florida. He joined Wayne State University in 1987. In 1990, he was named in Who’s Who In American Education.

Dr. Sawilowsky received a Bachelor of Religious Studies from the Rabbinical College of America. He earned a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling Education from the University of South Florida. He earned his Ph.D. from the same university in Curriculum and Instruction with program specialization in educational measurement, research and evaluation.
