OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVE ROLE FOR NOT-FOR-PROFIT ENTITIES ENGAGED IN REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS As a complement to CRA’s core competency as performance improvement consultants, we have developed a capability to serve as an Owner’s Representative for not-for-profit entities engaged in community-based real estate development projects. In performing this function, CRA acts as the project manager to plan, schedule, budget, and manage all the parties involved in the development activities and tasks from beginning to end. In addition, CRA has the capacity to perform the analysis of demand and the accompanying feasibility study(s) associated with real estate development projects. And, because of the networks of our CRA Senior Associates, we often are able to identify funding and investor capital sources, including foundations interested in supporting urban redevelopment. Also, when needed, CRA is able to call on the services of a real estate development organization with in-depth commercial and residential community development experience and success. This organization also has many contacts with real estate development funding sources. Thus, as a single source, CRA has the ability to organize and manage all the components required to plan, fund, implement and complete real estate development projects for not-for-profit organizations that might not always possess all the requisite skills.
